It has almost double the capacity and offers faster performance compared to HP LTO-6 Tapes, with built-in encryption capability and a Write Once Read Many (WORM) option – with no performance overhead. It can write or read data at a blistering 1 TB/hour, storing, encrypting and protecting up to 15 TB on a single cartridge, making it the big hitter in large-scale, 24×7, mission-critical IT environments.
As your data grows you can maintain or reduce your existing footprint with Spectra’s industry-leading storage density and HP LTO-7 data cardridge greater storage capacity. The additional capacity offered by HP LTO-7 tapes now up to 6 TB uncompressed data, means that fewer tapes are required to store the same amount of data. This smaller tape count results in a reduction in both the number of library slots needed and the cost for offsite storage.
